Get Listed on Bing

In this DIY, we’ll be showing you how to get your business listed for free on Bing. Bing is a search engine created and operated by Microsoft, replacing its former Live Search, Windows Live Search, and MSN Search offerings. According to comScore approximately 1 in 5 people use Bing as opposed to other search engines such as Google (still the king) and Yahoo.

The purpose of creating local listings is to make your business visible on the Internet. Each new listing you create increases your chances of being found by customers. At the same time, many of the local business indexes share data with each other. Thus, the more places you are listed and the more visible you are, the more these indexes trust the accuracy of your business data—increasing your chances of ranking well in local searches.

Step 1: Getting Started With BIng

First, go to this link to visit Bing Places. Press “Get Started.” Below is a screenshot that you’ll see. On the top right corner, you can see the link to sign in to your account to create your business listing.
